ROLE PURPOSE: Reports to: Senior M&E Manager Budget Responsibilities: No financial approval Role Dimensions: Regular contact of basic factual information

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Database administration and information management:

Capture data received from sub-recipients (SRs) in reporting database a timely manner; analyse accuracy, timeliness and completeness; and ensure that data are accurate and readily available.
Maintain and improve monitoring visit recommendation database, including data entry, data cleaning, and automated alert generation.
Coordinate process of updating and sending recommendations to SRs with Program, Finance, and Procurement Teams.
Calculate key performance indicators, with input from colleauges, to measure SRs’ performance and produce one-page summaries for each SR.
Design and maintain a database of SR geographic coverage data, including GPS locations.
Act as focal person for preparation of descriptive statistics and ensure that data are readily available and accessible for use. Produce easy to interpret data summaries, through graphs and tables, for internal tracking and presentation.

Serve as administrator of the Global Fund team’s external SharePoint site.

Collaborate with internal teams to link programmatic data with financial and procurement data; produce summary statistics to include in presentations and reports to stakeholders, as needed.
Assist with development of databases for operational research and program evaluations.
Technical assistance to SRs:

Assist SRs in the design or customization of sustainable databases for programmatic data.
Conduct trainings for SRs on maintenance and administration of databases.
Provide technical assistance to SRs to ensure adequate data flow and the generation of useful information.
Internal capacity building and support:

Provide support to colleagues on use of data management software, including suggestions for improvement of data management and analysis processes.
Design electronic databases or data collection tools at the request of Program Team members.

Participate in meetings with Program Team and with SRs.

Participate in organizing workshops at the request of the Senior M&E Manager.

Person specifications Skills and experience: QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Must have University degree in Medicine (MD/MBBS), preferably with Master degree in Public health, Business Administration, Public Administration or other related area.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential Education:

Bachelor Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or other field related to above duties.
Skills and Experience:

At least 4 years experience in related field in public or private sector;
Expert understanding of data management and analysis software including Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and relational database software (Access, MySQL, or other).
Experience developing and maintaining databases for project management.
Ability to manage and analyze data, create visual displays to aid in data interpretation, and experience in creating information dashboards
Excellent personal organisational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Desire and ability to independently learn new software.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation developing effective working relationships to deliver outstanding results for children.
Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles.
Willingness and capability to comply with all relevant Save the Children policies and procedures with respect to health and safety, security, equal opportunities and other relevant policies, including the Child Safeguarding Policy.
Desirable

Experience collecting, managing and/or analyzing data with any or all of the following software highly preferred: DHIS2, KoBo Toolbox, Microsoft Power Apps.
Knowledge of GIS mapping software (QGIS and/or ArcGIS) and experience creating maps desirable.
